Job description

Full Time Position

We are looking to appoint a new English teacher to teach students at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Peterborough.

You must be able to teach English to functional skills level 2. Experience working with SEN is highly desirable.

Students have significant Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Experience of working in this setting is desirable and you should be comfortable working in small class sizes with challenging behaviour.

You should be:

  • Flexible
  • Able to build appropriate relationships with students
  • Resilient
  • Able to 'think on your feet'

Requirements:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an experienced unqualified teacher
  • Full time availability Monday to Friday (0830 - 1530)
  • Experience or Knowledge of SEN, particularly SEMH
  • You must be highly motivated, hard working and passionate for educating children with SEN!
