Full time position for an SEN teacher to start in January. The position is for an SEN teacher and is initially a temporary position; however there could be the opportunity for permanent dependent on the need of the setting.

The setting is a special needs primary school in Manchester and currently has 119 pupils on enrolled. The school caters for pupils aged 4-11 and who have a wide range of needs including: multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and complex needs. In its most recent OFSTED inspection the school was graded as 'Outstanding'.

To apply for this position you must be a Qualified Teacher and be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN. ideally the Teacher will have experience of working within a special school; however this is not essential as long as they can demonstrate a genuine passion and commitment for supporting pupils with SEN.

To be considered for this position the Teacher will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the importance of differentiation and have the ability to assure that learning is accessible to all pupils.

The ideal Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status with extensive experience with pupils with SEN
  • Work with young people with Profound Learning Difficulties.
  • A specialism in working with pupils with SEN (desirable)
  • Team Teach training (desirable)
  • A commitment to supporting SEN pupils in achieving their optimal potential
  • An understanding of how to adapt lessons to assure that learning is accessible to all pupils
