Job Title: SEN Teacher - Tower Hamlets - September 2023 Start

Location: Tower Hamlets, London

Salary: Paid to Teacher Pay Scale (M1 - UPS3) 

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in Tower Hamlets? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a dynamic and inclusive school in the heart of Tower Hamlets, London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing individualized learning plans.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders to support the educational journey of each student.
  • Keep abreast of the latest educational developments and best practices in SEN teaching.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialization in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience teaching students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and providing equal opportunities for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
