Primary Teacher

Northampton 

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Specialist School looking for a Primary Teacher to join the team in Septmeber. The school offers support to pupils in KS1 to KS3 with cognitive processing delay, speech language communication difficulties, emotional needs and neurological developmental delay. Each child will have access to a variety of therapeutic interventions depending on their individual needs.

  • Speech and language therapy
  • Animal therapy
  • Mindfulness and wellbeing sessions
  • Occupational and psychotherapy

The school offers a relaxed, friendly, and open environment to allow pupils to engage in education. It’s vital that the successful applicant can build a positive relationship with pupils and understand what motivates them and interested them inside and outside of school.

Successful candidates:

  • Holds a UK QTS with a proven track record of helping pupils achieve
  • Experience teaching special needs is ideal, but the school are happy to welcome a teacher from mainstream primary school, if they are enthusiastic , passionate, and keen to learn
  • Happy to work with a small class of 8 pupils
  • Able to adapt teaching style to accommodate for pupils who learn slower than pupils of similar age
  • Assess pupils progress and liaise with SEN professionals
  • Plan lessons and prepare resources with the support of classroom teaching assistants

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
