An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our vibrant educational community as the SEN Teacher at a two-form entry and fast improving, primary school in Newham, East London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the musical culture of the school and nurturing the musical talents of their diverse student body.

Educational Qualifications:
*Hold a recognized teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education.
*Specialized training or certification in Special Education or SEN is essential.
Specialized Knowledge:
*Demonstrate a deep understanding of various learning difficulties, disabilities, and special educational needs.
*Stay informed about the latest developments and research in the field of special education.
Teaching Experience:
*Have prior teaching experience, preferably in special education settings.
*Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Communication Skills:
*Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with parents, colleagues, and other professionals involved in the care and education of students with special needs.
*Ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
Assessment and Planning:
*Proficient in conducting assessments to identify individual learning needs.
*Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessments.
Collaboration:
*Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
*Collaborate with external professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, as needed.
Patience and Empathy:
*Possess a patient and empathetic attitude towards students with special needs.
*Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.
Adaptability:
*Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
*Flexibility to respond to unexpected challenges and changes.
Classroom Management Skills:
*Effectively manage behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
*Implement strategies to address challenging behaviours.
Legal and Ethical Awareness:
*Knowledge of and adherence to relevant laws and regulations governing special education.
*Uphold ethical standards in dealing with sensitive information and situations.
Continuous Professional Development:
*Commitment to ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
*Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions related to special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
