We are currently recruiting for SEN teachers in the Croydon area for the new academic year to work in schools as either short- or long-term teachers. The schools range from alternative provisions, to specialist schools catering for children with a variety of needs ranging from PMLD and ASC to SEMH needs. You will be expected to work with a variety of ability and age levels.
Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.
Schools require on and off support throughout the year depending on student intake and staffing needs, so there is always opportunity for contract extension and permanent roles for staff who are a great asset to the school.
The candidate:
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality and be able to work to their own initiative in regard to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children cared for. You will ideally have experience of working in an SEN setting, but applications will be judged on an individual basis. Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and team teach/ moving and handling training is desirable, but not essential as we can provide training through our CPD academy. You will have QTS status, or equivalent, and a proven track record of promoting positive relationships and helping students to attain the best results.
What we can provide:
Teaching Personnel are education specialists with 23 years of experience in the field. You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.
Please apply to this advert directly, or send your CV to chloe.kibblewhite@teachingpersonnel.com to find out more.
