A school in Ripon are looking to recruit an inspirational temporary SEN Teacher from September. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a unique school. Each class is supported by experienced Teaching Assistants dependent on the needs of the pupils. You will believe in the individuality of every student, and offer a personalised approach to teaching.

The ideal candidate would need to be passionate about working with children and young people with autism and want to make a real difference to their lives and education.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified teacher status

Desirable Qualifications

Further qualifications related to special educational needs

Essential Experience

Experience of working with children with a wide range of special educational needs.

Ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual teaching programmes for children with special educational needs

Ability to motivate, manage and develop staff

Ability to communicate well and develop effective relationships/partnerships with parents

Desirable Experience

Experience of teaching children with SEN and challenging behaviour

Experience of teaching in a multi-disciplinary environment

Ability to teach autism specific approaches

Knowledge of positive behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
