We are recruiting for a Teacher for a Primary school that acters for ages 2-11. The pupils within this provision have all been diagnosed with Special Education Needs, with the pupils have a high percentage of PMLD, Autism and Communication Difficulties.
The school maintains a strong set of values for its staff such as to develop children’s ability to communicate so that they become effective, competent and confident communicators. You as a Teacher would create fun and interactive lessons in order to promote this communication, whether this be Sign-Along or something similar.
A further value of the school is to foster children’s ability to build good personal relationships and develop their self-esteem so that they feel valued and value others. This is where you as the Teacher would adapt your lesson to not just for academic progression but also elements of character building and emotional literacy.
There is a wide range of facilities available for the children of this school. The school has an onsite hydrotherapy pool, trampolines for rebound therapy, use of the indoor and outdoor space for games and dance.
The school is based in the Bramhall area of Stockport and is easily accessible by both car and public transport.
The successful Teacher to join this outstanding team would have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience of supporting those with SEN
- A positive and caring attitude
In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.
