Job description

The position is for a full time SEN Teacher to commence as soon as possible. Initially the role is temporary commencing after Easter and running until the end of the academic year.

The setting is a Secondary Special School located in the Tameside area. The School caters for 75 pupils with a wide range of needs including: complex learning difficulties and profound learning difficulties.

In its most recent School OFSTED inspection the setting was graded as an outstanding Secondary Special School, OFSTED commented that the school were particularly outstanding in supporting pupil's social, emotional and personal development. In order to apply for this role you must be a Qualified Teacher and have a passion for supporting pupils with SEN.

The ideal Teacher will have experience in supporting pupils with SEN in some capacity; however this is not essential as this position could be ideal for a mainstream Teacher who is looking for the opportunity to gain experience within a special school.

In order to apply for this role the Teacher must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status with a passion for supporting SEN
  • An in-depth understanding of P-levels and NCL
  • A clear understanding of differentiation and know how to adapt lessons according to the needs of pupils

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
