Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' SEN School in the Mickleover area of Derbyshire.

The school are looking for Teacher with a good working knowledge of working with children and young people with moderate to severe learning difficulties, ASC. SCLN and SEMH. The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have a sound working knowledge of Autism and ideally 1 year of experience working in a special needs provision.
  • Be confident to plan, prepare and deliver differentiated work to children with Autism
  • Have a sound working knowledge of the curriculum
  • Be able to monitor, track and report back on progress being made by the students, both academically and socially
  • Have a sound working knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans and how to implement agree strategies
  • Be responsible for promoting the emotional well being of all students and taking accountability for their welfare, including any safeguarding concerns
  • Communicate effectively with all school staff and parents

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
