KS3 and KS4 Teacher of English

£140 - £175 daily rate PAYE

Behavioural needs

We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher for special school in Dagenham area to deliver KS3-KS4 English. We are looking for a teacher who can take the curriculum and bring this alive in a way that both engages and motivates pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a special school on the next phase of its journey and play a key role in the development and learning of students in a core subject. You will become part of a team that will specialise in delivering a curriculum designed to meet individual needs and provide pupils the best possible educational outcomes.

This is an Independent Day Special school for young people with SEMH as well as complex behavioural needs. The school operate from two sites both based in Dagenham/ Romford area. There is a newly opened vocational site in Romford which offer a range of vocational courses and experiences for pupils. The school aim to provide pupils with a creative curriculum supported within a holistic framework of therapeutic intervention. They are looking for the next member of teaching team to enhance pupils' learning experience.

To be considered for the position of KS3/KS4 English Teacher you must:

  • Have experience working with young people with social, emotional, mental health and complex needs
  • Understand what approaches work well with working with behavioural needs and how building positive relationships are key to the role
  • Enthusiasm for planning and delivering exciting lessons which inspire pupils to learn and achieve the very best outcomes, academically as well as for pupils social development

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
