SEN TA needed in Blackburn School

If so, Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in one of our client Schools in Blackburn who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with pupils within their support department who have special educational needs. The School caters for pupils with Asperger's, Autism, ADHD, SEMH difficulties and physical disabilities.

The School is based in Accrington, Lancashire. The support assistant will be working 1:1 with pupils within the specialist SEN classes and mainstream core subject classes. The role will be full time and the candidate must be available to start after the Easter Holidays. The role will require the candidate to be hard working, enthusiastic and willing to commit to supporting the school ethos/development.

The candidate must have experience supporting pupils with special needs or experience working in a mainstream secondary support department. Ideally the school would like a candidate with Autism experience or experience working within a mainstream Secondary SEN unit. The candidate must have a strong work ethic and be looking for a long term position within a School.

The successful candidate will benefit from a long term position with the potential of transitioning to a permanent contract with the school. Candidates can be offered competitive pay rates ranging from £300-400/week.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
