Do you have a passion for supporting the learning of children?

A school in Lewisham who have been awarded "good" by Ofsted in their last inspection (Sept 15), is situated close to train, DLR and bus stops and features a rooftop area for music, drama and arts. The school also has outstanding provisions for SEND in order to allow everyone to reach and exceed expected progress levels.

The school are looking to recruit a new member of staff to support a pupil in Year 5 with SEMH. Experience with SEMH would be preferable however not necessary. This role will suit someone who is pro active with a real enthusiasm for supporting not only a key child but the classroom as a whole. General duties of this role would include small group work to help the attainment of the key child and other students and other duties to support the class.

With a very hands-on SENCO any member of staff to join this school would receive fantastic training and support from all colleagues in providing the very best support to all pupils. This full time role has an immediate start with a daily pay rate of £60-£85 per day dependant on experience.

Requirements

  • CACHE level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with SEND (SEMH preferable)
  • A current valid child workforce DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Confidence dealing with sensitive matters
  • 2 recent references
