Job description

We are currently recruiting for an inclusive and diverse school in the Dorset area who are seeking 5 SEN Teaching Assistants (TA) to interview immediately and start in September 2018. The school provides pupils aged 3 to 19 with a wide range of complex needs; all levels of learning, communication, ASD, physical, medical and sensory impairment

The schools mission is to develop personalised pathways and choices for our pupils so that their needs and aspirations can be met

Ideally, successful applicants will have experience supporting SEN in a Primary, Secondary or Special Needs School however, those with care, support work and Healthcare Assistant backgrounds have transferable skills that will be needed for this role.

What will be needed to get you into paid work:

  • Child DBS on update service
  • 2 professional references
  • Right to work in UK
  • Safeguarding course

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
