SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a group of pupils with Global Development Delay required for a full-time role in the East Dulwich area required!
Immediate start!
One of our schools in the East Dulwich area rated 'Outstanding' in their latest Ofsted report is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is short-term and the school are looking for a candidate who can work full-time in assisting a group of Year 4 pupils with Global Development Delay. There is potential that the role could become a permanent position for the candidate if the role suits both the school and candidate.
The school is in an easily accessible location right next to the East Dulwich rail station with direct transport links into central London, Brixton and Lewisham.
Desirable experience required:
- Autism
- Challenging Behaviour
- Global Development Delay
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Physical Disability (PD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
The ideal candidate would be someone who is:
- Confident in their ability to deal with the different types of SEN
- Identify when 1:1 support with pupils is necessary
- Portray their passion for assisting the pupils to achieve their targets
- Build relationships and instil excellence into everyday practices
- Relevant experience within Teaching Assistant roles
- Graduates who are looking for a role within the Education Sector

Requirements:
- You must be able to Interview and Trial for Longer Term Positions
- You must also be in possession of a Child Workforce DBS (registered on the Update Service) or willing to apply for one
