A school in Darwen are currently looking to appoint a Specialist Support Assistant who can work with a child in Y5 with Special Educational Needs. The Deputy Head teacher in school is overseeing the recruitment process and has mentioned that she is keen to see applying candidates who have experience in the class room and also possess a friendly and committed personality. The Primary team in school are a close knit group and with this they are keen to make sure the right person comes in and works in school. The Deputy has listed a number of attributes that she would like from an applying candidate, these include; strong behaviour management; experience working with the KS2 Curriculum; friendly personality and someone who is passionate about working alongside children on a 1:1 basis.

The role will be to work from 845-1515 with varying lunchtime hours. The role will be to support a child with attachment disorders and other associated behaviours which may involve taking the child out of class into nurture rooms/ other provisions.

The School is one of the top performing Primary's in the Darwen area and has a strong Senior Leadership Team who is keen to develop their staff further and support them during their time in school.
