Teaching Personnel have currently got an exciting opportunity for a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, to start work in Plymouth. The role entails full time work, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. The role will be starting in February 2019, Term time only.

The school facilitates for both primary and secondary aged pupils with learning difficulties, complex needs and ASC. With an Ofsted rating of Good, the school provides a quality focus on individual learning.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting children with PMLD/ASC in a mainstream or SEN school.
  • Experience of working with small groups and 1:1
  • Qualifications at NVQ Level 3 or Degree level
  • Any training in PECS/Makaton/BSL/MAPA/Team Teach/Moving and Handling
  • Desire to help with a positive attitude
  • Calm and patient manner with your approach.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
