SEN Support - Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can offer Learning Support to students who have a variety of complex and additional needs. The role is full time and, if successful, the candidate will have the opportunity to go onto a permanent contract with the school. The school caters to secondary students and is based in the Batley area of Kirklees (WF17) who have Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) and provides an engaging, enjoyable and safe environment for it's students to access their learning and overcome any barriers that they may have to reach their full potential.

These students have a range of needs varying from Autism to Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairments so we require someone who has experience working with people, children or adults, from a similar setting because they will have the transferable skills required for this role. Training in Moving and Handling, PECs, Makaton and PEG Feeding would be desired but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
