SEN support Teaching Assistant - Bury

A teaching assistant with experience working with children with special educational needs is required for a primary school situated in the Prestwich, Bury (M25) area. This role will be starting on the 15th April and will last until the end of the academic year.

A warm and friendly primary school in the Prestwich area is looking for a nurturing and pro-active teaching assistant who can provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 3 with Down syndrome and learning difficulties. The pupil is currently in the Year 3 class but is working at a reception level. The Head teacher is looking for a teaching assistant with previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs to work 1:1 in the class room and lead interventions to help raise attainment.

As a 1:1 teaching assistant, you will be supporting the teacher by ensuring the pupil fully understands the instructions of the work and is able to access the curriculum at a suitable level. This will be a hugely rewarding role supporting a happy pupil who needs support within the class room.
