SEN support teaching assistant - Bury

  • Salary - £285 - £300 a day
  • Start date - 9th September 2019
  • Bury (BL9) primary school

A primary school in the Chesham area of Bury (BL9) is currently looking for a SEN support assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in the Year 5 class with ADHD. The pupil has had their EHC plan come through and the school are now looking to use the funding to support the pupil in the class room. Due to behavioural needs from the pupil, the school is looking for a teaching assistant with previous experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs.

As part of the role you will be expected to:

  • Support the child in the classroom and in 1:1 intervention settings
  • Think creatively and have a flexible approach to learning
  • Liaise with the SENCO and class teacher to report on the children's development after each day
