SEN support Salford Primary School

Working 1:1 and in groups with lower ability and SEN children

Due to a large in take of children in the EYFS next academic year, a two form entry Primary school in Salford (M44) are looking to take on a Learning support assistant who has experience of working with children that have limited communication and language skills.

The Salford Primary School has a large percentage of children on the SEN register and the children start school below national average in terms of their learning development. Therefore the school requires a member of staff to work along the Literacy co-ordinator and SENCO to help implement strategies to raise attainment for children in EYFS and KS1 with language difficulties and other SEN. You will be working on a 1:1 and group basis.

The Salford primary school has recently obtained 'Good with Outstanding' features from OFSTED. The school prides itself on the fantastic reputation it has built for the work it does with the community and the end of KS1 and 2 results.

To apply for this role you must have experience working with children with specific language needs and have relevant qualifications for teaching and supporting children. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
