Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant for our partner school, a primary specialist school in the Salford area. The position will be working predominately with children 4-11 year old pupils who have verity of Special Education Needs. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them to be able to access to curriculum fully.
As I work with a wonderful SEN School in Salford who are currently seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for short term and longer term based role. Many of their pupils have additional physical disabilities, medical, care and sensory needs and behavioural difficulties.
The role will entail leading a small class of SEN pupils reaching learning targets and there will be daily planning involved. The pupils are on the spectrum and have sensory requirements. The classes are smaller than mainstream and you'll have the support of 2/3 TAs to assist in class for various pupils.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working with challenging behaviour or have Team Teach training (positive restraint training)
- Flexible, adaptive and versatile individual
