SEN Support Assistant Farnborough

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support children with varied needs including learning and physical difficulties, within a school in Farnborough.

About the School:

The school cater for pupils who are of Primary and Secondary age with a varied range of needs to include Autism, PMLD, Down's Syndrome, Emotional and Social needs, and challenging behaviour.

You will be supporting a class Teacher alongside 2 or 3 other TA's, while working with approximately 6 - 10 pupils, to implement each pupils' Educational Heathcare Plans and aid their development and learning.

The school hours are from 08:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday. The staff are very supportive and friendly, and the school is welcoming of trial days, upon the completion of a vetting process.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of GCSE Maths and English (A-C)
  • Previous experience working with children or adults who have Special Needs
  • Have the flexibility to work in a variety of situations, with different ages
  • Be able to work on your own initiative, while supporting both the staff and pupils in the class
  • A relevant qualification within SEN would be beneficial

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
