  • Trainee salary of GBP20,000 with GBP3000 commission
  • Monday to Friday 7am - 4:30pm

The company

Teaching Personnel is a very well established and market leader in Education. The Bristol office has been based in the centre for over 20 years and is known for it's outstanding customer service - please check out our Goggle Reviews! As we do not venture into other markets, Teaching Personnel specialises in supporting schools with Teaching and support staff. 

The role

Your role is to attract the best teachers and teaching assistants to provide our SEN schools with the right staff for them. This means marketing, advertising, interviewing, meeting SLT, building relationships, negotiating, working towards deadline and target, business development and more. You will be working exclusively with SEN schools across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset and will be a SEN specialist recruitment consultant.

The Ideal candidate

To make it clear, having a good understanding of education is advantageous but not essential. The education market can be learnt but the art of communication, the hunger to achieve challenging targets, building relationships and having a keen eye for a quality candidate are far more important. Essentially, this is a sales and business development role. You will need to have a great work ethic, be determined and resilient as you will be part of a very competitive and successful market.

You will form part of the SEN team and report to your line manager as well as being part of a vibrant office of 7 other consultants. Furthermore, you will be given all the tools to work from home, including laptop, deskcop and communication software when needed and each year we celebrate our successes with a company wide summer and Christmas Party.

If you are interested please consider the following: Most of your holidays need to be taken out of term time as term time is when you are at the most busiest. However, you will get reduced hours as well as 25 days holiday during school half-terms, end of terms and summer holidays. With an early start you must be in the office before 7am. Also, as this is a business development role you must be able to drive as you will be meeting clients regularly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
