SEN Practitioner required - Oldham - September

A small friendly Special Needs Primary School situated in Tameside is currently looking to appoint an SEN Practitioner who is able to start in September 2018. This position is a full time and longer term position. If you have significant experience supporting pupils with SEN and are seeking an exciting new challenge then this could be the perfect role for you.

There are multiple part time positions available for Teaching Assistants who have experience working with individuals with various needs. There are positions commencing immediately and running until the end of the academic year. The role will involve working within a Special Needs so it would be ideal for individuals who have worked in the Care Sector and are looking for an opportunity to change career.

The school is a Primary Special Needs School which currently has 75 pupils enrolled. The Setting caters for pupils with a wide range of needs including: moderate, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties. In its most recent 2016 inspection the School was graded as outstanding by OFSTED. Due to the specific needs of the pupil the Teaching Assistant should have an understanding of how to cater for young people with various needs.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity
  • Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector
  • Experience working within a School environment (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
