SEN outdoor support

Job description

We are looking for SEN outdoor learning support candidates.

Teaching Personnel are working with several specialist units that caters for pupils with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties with immediate work opportunities for teaching assistants. I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in supporting young learners in classroom activities and off site doing different learning based activities. Some of these activites are sports based so if you have additional sports related qualifications then this will strengthen your application.

You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher and providing one-to-one / group support to students in and out of the classroom setting.

The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues.

You are required to drive for this role and have a full DBS check. If you already have a DBS in child workforce that is on the update service then your documents can be processed faster.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
