Do you have a good working knowledge of the education system and have a high grade GCSE in English and Maths? If so this could be the role for you!
A post 16 facility in Cornwall are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, patient and compassionate individual to support pupils completing their courses, these courses are at various levels.
This College require a Learning Support Assistant to provide high quality support for specific classes across the curriculum and to support pupils with varying levels of need.
This role will include;
- Informing and advising other support staff deployed in lessons to enable them to effectively support student's learning
- Ensuring effective communication with, and between, staff and students
- Delivering particular strategies and programmes for students
- To lead on general support duties including behaviour and learning
This Post 16 provision caters for young adults aged between 16 -19. They have a large site with high quality teaching and the college has around 1400 pupils on role. Within there is an inclusion unit that supports around over 100 pupils.

Successful applicants will have a good general education including GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above in English and Maths. Experience of supporting Young Adults : in Care or Youth Work capacity.
The successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check (to be completed through Teaching Personnel, if you require a new one) and references will be taken up before interview.
