Job description

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity within one of Nottingham's leading schools.

The school are seeking a learning mentor to work on a full time basis starting from September 2018. The school is based in the Mapperley area and has recently moved out of requiring improvement and is now graded 'GOOD' by OFSTED.

The role will entail:

  • Working alongside the school SENCO to support the provisions for SEN pupils
  • Planning academic interventions around maths, reading & writing
  • Assessing pupils and liaising with class teacher to report on levels
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who present with challenging behaviours
  • Creating bespoke rewards plans for pupils to follow

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
