SEN Learning mentor Job Plymouth

Would you like to work with students in a fun and rewarding environment?

Plan your own day -working in the classroom, maths by the beach, swimming and climbing.

In this exciting job role, you will have the chance to work in a 1:1 or small group setting and help support the development of learning and SEMH needs. In a Plymouth school, which offers alternate provisions for non-mainstream students, this school caters to the individual needs of students, with the help of fantastic learning mentors.

About the learning Mentor role:

  • Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm - Term time only
  • Competitive Pay - up to £325 p/w
  • Preferably NVQ Level 3 or higher
  • Relevant experience in either - (Outdoor education, Health care, Social work, Youth work, Care work, Education)
  • Driving role - UK Full Clean driving license needed

Successful candidates:

  • Enthusiastic and a great can do attitude
  • Meets the job requirements
  • Calm and empathetic manner
  • Supportive with good behavioural management
  • Full clean UK driving license

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
