Teaching Personnel has been contact by a "good" primary school that we work closely with in Hammersmith & Fulham who are seeking an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with a boy in year 6 with Autism.
The role:
Working 1:1 with a Year 6 boy who has autism.
You will be supporting the pupil keeping track of his progression, reporting back and communicating with the teacher.
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Previous experience of working in a classroom school setting- this is essential.
An understanding of autism/ ASD.
A positive and caring approach and a love of learning.
Positive behavior management skills.
A strong academic background and the desire to work with primary aged pupils.
Be able to dedicate to this full- time role providing consistency for the school and the child.
Be adaptable and flexible in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative.
