A rated ‘outstanding’ SEN school in South Croydon are seeking two (2) Meal Supervisor Assistant for a long term role to start ASAP. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work part time role and looking to work with SEN children to gain valuable experience and get their foot in the door. This SEN School in South Croydon provides education for pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism from 4 to 11 years of age.

The MSA role;

• As the Meal Supervisor Assistant for this great SEN School in South Croydon you will be required to work for two hours per day 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) where you will supervise SEN primary pupils during their lunch time

• You will be allocated a primary aged class of 7- 10 pupils and work alongside a second MSA

• Your duty will be to escort the pupils from class to the dinner hall, supervise pupils while having their dinner

• The role will require you to engage & build relationships with pupils

• The hours are 2 hours during midday ( +/- 11:30– 13:30)

The ideal candidate:

• Must have good understanding of working with SEN children

• Knowledge or training on safeguarding for children in ideal

• PECS and Makaton training / experience is highly beneficial

• Experience working with ASC & PMLD either adults or children is highly beneficial

• Need to be confident & passionate about working with children

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
