SEN Teaching Assistants required in Accrington & Rossendale

I am currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants with experience and a willingness to undertake work in mainstream Primary Schools. Positions arise supporting children in the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and vary from day-to-day and short-term to full-time and permanent roles supporting on a 1:1 and small group basis.

The pupils have a wide range of conditions including Autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities, disruptive behaviour disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, tics and Tourette syndrome, epilepsy and learning disabilities. The incoming Teaching Assistant must be confident and capable of supporting pupils who have problems with communication, toileting, eating or have sensory difficulties.

The schools i am working with are all located in the Accrington and Rossendale areas and are mainstream Primary Schools. It will be your role to support pupils within the mainstream setting and within the schools withdrawal/SEN unit. You must have experience of supporting young people or adults with additional needs and you will be comfortable providing personal care.

**Candidates with Team Teach or experience in PECS and / or Makaton are highly sought after.**

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
