We are actively seeking an SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant on behalf of an excellent School based in Bournemouth

The School:

The school aims to ensure that all children receive an exciting, relevant curriculum which fosters a life-long love of learning. The staff work very closely as part of a team, to offer a nurturing environment where pupils can develop to their full potential. All the teaching staff have a commitment and responsibility for contributing to their learning community.

You will be supporting children with various Special Education Needs. The School is looking for someone who is flexible, has a positive attitude towards SEN and has high expectations of children.

The school is for children aged 5 – 16 with mild to moderate Autism, learning difficulties ADHD, SEMH and Aspergers. They are recruiting permanent staff members to start in April/ May 2017 . You will be joining a school that offers extensive training for their support staff and excellent facilities.

In this role, you will be required to provide effective emotional, personal and social support to help develop social interaction skills. You will be a positive role model at all times and be able to support children aged 5– 16 with academics including communication, language, literacy and numeracy.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
