I am looking for a Teaching Assistant who can provide support for children with SEN.

I am seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and committed team herein Exeter. We are a culturally diverse and inclusive learning community, which is committed to meeting the needs of every young person.

We are looking for a warm and caring individual who is a team player and has proven experience of supporting primary aged children in Upper KS2, who have Special Educational Needs.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high expectations and a cheerful personality. They will be reliable, patient, and have a positive attitude. Familiarity with a range of behavior management techniques will be essential and the ability to develop warm and positive relationships, whilst providing practical guidance and setting clear boundaries.

You will be able to work collaboratively under the direct instruction of teaching staff, to offer flexible support across the classroom in response to the child’s individual learning styles. You will be able to meet the child’s educational and personal care needs whilst fostering independence.

Good literacy and numeracy skills will be essential for the post to ensure pupil progress. At least Grade C or above at GCSE level, or equivalent or other relevant professional qualifications e.g. NVQ Level 3

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
