One to One Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants – Northamptonshire
Teaching Personnel’s specialist SEN consultant team are currently working closely with schools in the Northamptonshire region searching for teaching assistants for SEN units in mainstream schools and SEN specialist schools.

The ideal candidate will have some of the following characteristics:
- Experience with ASC, MLD / SLD and SEMH
- A background in social and health care
- A genuine passion for supporting and working with children
- Someone who can use positive reinforcement when dealing with behavioural (SEMH) difficulties.
- Someone who has a caring, nurturing and patient nature.
As a teaching assistant in an SEN unit in a mainstream school or in an SEN specialist school you will be supporting children predominantly on a one to one basis and occasionally in groups. You will also liaise with the class teacher to discuss student progress and lesson plans.
