Teaching Assistant - Tameside

  • Pay up to £60 per day
  • Excellent opportunity to gain a permanent contract

Our client Secondary School in Tameside are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their resource centre. You will be supporting students who have varying moderate learning difficulties, social and emotional health or behavioural intervention requirements.

This Teaching Assistant position would be well suited to someone currently working in a secondary school or someone form a health care, youth work background looking to gain school based experience. Although it is not an essential requirement if you have a relevant Teaching Assistant or Health Care qualification this will support your application.

You will report directly to the schools SEN co-ordinator writing regular reports monitoring student’s progress in line with their individual strategies and stages. Initially on a temporary basis through teaching personnel this is a full time Teaching Assistant post with the potential to earn a school based contract.

The school has around 600 students on roll and has high levels of pupils eligible for free school meals due to its diverse catchment area. The school are looking to appoint a passionate, caring and highly flexible teaching assistant who will make a significant impact on the students taught.

**Eligible for a DBS certificate

**Be available for full time work in September

**Passion for working with students who have support requirements
