SEN teaching assistant Oldham

Teaching assistant required in September for a full time position, this will be working with children in a large Oldham secondary school who have special educational needs (SEN) and require specialist support.

**Full time post, initially temporary with possibility of being for 12 months

**SEN teaching assistant position to start in September 2016

**Working in this large secondary school on the outskirts of Oldham

**Previous experience and knowledge of special educational needs essential

**Working closely with the SENCO and supporting pupils across the age range (11-16)

**Large secondary school with overall good Ofsted (2015)

**Own transport would be advantage due to schools location

Due to an increase in the number of pupils enrolling with SEN and EHCP, the SENCO of this large school in Oldham is looking to hire an additional SEN teaching assistant for the new academic year. The successful applicant will be need to be available on a full time basis in September, you will have a caring and empathetic approach to working with pupils. Knowledge of SEN is essential, if you have knowledge of supporting pupils who are looked after by the care system that would be advantageous.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
