A Secondary Pupil Referral Unit who are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who are looking to work within a challenging setting. The school caters for students who are aged between 14-16 who need support through education due to barriers. Most of the pupils who the SEN Teaching assistant will be supporting have individual EHCP’s and have ADHD.
Based at our key stage 4 site, you will be deployed to support and engage pupils in our construction and motor vehicle workshop, many of whom who have significant barriers to learning. Previous experience of working in an education setting with pupils in a supporting role is essential, as well as having the skills to contribute towards a positive learning culture which promotes success and personal well-being. Experience in trade areas such as Joinery, brickwork, plastering etc. is also required.

This is supply work and you will ideally have your own transport, if not be able to use public transport and commute to schools from a morning call.
