SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Boston Spa

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in the Boston Spa area. The school are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant

The school caters for pupils aged 2-19 with a range of SEN (including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Delay). You will be required to work across the school, supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

You will have experience of working with children in education based or pastoral roles. You will be confident in managing pupil behaviour and be able to independently support pupils, dealing with a wide range of issues. You will be positive and approachable and will be willing to support a multi-disciplinary team of staff to re-engage pupils and support them in achieving personal goals; drawing up agreed action plans with learners, outlining the aims of the mentoring, monitoring and recording their progress as necessary.
