  • Available immediately for interviews

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint several learning mentors for specialist SEN settings in West Yorkshire.

Successful candidates will work with a number of key pupils, managing their own case load and supporting the academic progress of individual students by providing personal support including regular guidance and contributing to individual learning plans.

You will be required to work across several school sites, providing support to a range of learners with special educational needs. You will be covering a variety of issues, including punctuality, absence, challenging behaviour and self esteem. You will be working either on a one-to-one basis or with small groups based on the pupils identified as needing support in the above areas. The length of each assignment will vary and will be dependent on the development of the pupil(s) and will be judged on their improvement in selected areas. Essentially this will be determined by the school.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people on a 1:1 and group basis to achieve their career goals (in education, youth work or community settings).
