Registered Nurses, Welfare Officers and Heath and Wellbeing Leads wanted for Special Needs School in Hillingdon

  • Heath and Wellbeing Lead role in Secondary Special Needs School
  • Band 6 pay scale
  • 44 week pro rata position

Are you registered nurse, Welfare Officer, Family School Liaison officer or Healthcare Lead looking for a stable role with career progression?

A special needs school based in Hillingdon are looking for a Heath and Wellbeing Lead for a role to start in September. The school provides for secondary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties including the diagnosis of autism. The school also provides support to mainstream schools in Hillingdon for pupils with complex learning needs.

Role Specification:

•To provide assessment, planning and implementation of health care for children and young people attending the school and in community settings.

• To provide a Health and Welfare service for children and young people with a disability or long term condition.

• To provide nursing advice and support to parents, carers, school staff and other health care professionals.

• To lead on safeguarding.


• Must be able to travel to Hillingdon (West London)

• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 am – to 4:00pm during school term time

• Must have experience in Nursing and/or welfare support

• Experience working with vulnerable children is beneficial but not necessary

A valid DBS with Child Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
