Teaching Assistant Open day (Wednesday 09/08/17) for Special Needs School in Greenford

  • Completive rates ranging from £55 – 70 dependant on Special Needs experience and training

Are you experienced or interested in supporting children with autism and severe learning difficulties?

An ‘Outstanding’ Special Needs school in Greenford are looking for Teaching Assistants and Learning support Assistants to start in September 2017. The role would be based within the school’s autism department supporting pupils with autism across the spectrum. The school caters for primary aged children with complex learning and physical difficulties including the diagnosis of autism.

The role will focus heavily on 1:1 and small group support due to the learning needs of the pupils.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to Sudbury Hill/Greenford area (West London) daily

• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 am – to 4:00pm during school term time

• Must have experience/interest in supporting children/young people with autism and severe learning difficulties

• Must be confident in supporting children with their learning

• Must be open/able to support children with moving and handling, personal care and/or nappy changing (or be open to taking part in fee based courses)


Taking place on Wednesday 9th August 2017 at Teaching Personnel’s Hayes Office

Requirements on Wednesday 9th August:

• Must be able to travel to Hayes (West London) on Wednesday 9th August 2017

• Must be able to attend between 10am and 3pm – time slot will be organised in advance

• Must be able to provide documents on day

• Must be able to provide two references

I will personally be at Teaching Personnel’s Hayes Office on Wednesday 9th August 2017 solely to interview for this position.

A valid DBS with Child Only Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
