Teaching assistants, Special Needs Support Assistant or Play Workers with complex learning needs and/or physical disabilities experience wanted for school in Fulham

  • 1:1 and small group support of children with special needs (SEN)
  • Competitive rates ranging from £60 - £75 per day dependant on Special Needs teaching experience and training
  • Temporary to permanent positions available

A special needs school based in Fulham are looking for teaching assistants, play workers, special needs support assistants with autism, complex learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities experience for roles starting in September. The school caters for students ranging from the ages of seven to sixteen and cover Key Stages two, three and four with moderate learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties. All students have underlying speech, language and communication difficulties and some have gross and fine motor skills difficulties. A few students have a diagnosis of autism.


• Must be able to travel to Parsons Green/Fulham area (West London)

• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 am – to 4:00pm during school term time

• Experience working in a Special Need School is highly sought after

• Must have experience and/or interest in supporting children in with autism, physical disabilities and/or complex learning needs

• Must be able to support children with moving and handling, personal care and/or nappy changing (or be open to taking part in fee based courses)

• Must be confident in supporting children with Maths, English and core subjects

• Knowledge of specific visual aids such as PECS, TEACCH, symbols and sensory resources highly beneficial

Competitive rate ranging between £60 – 75 per day dependant on Special Needs experience and training!

A valid DBS with Child Only Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
