Do you have recent experience working with children or young adults with Autism?

A friendly and welcoming primary school in Harlow is looking for a Specialist SEN Support Assistant to work 1-1 with a pupil with an allocated EHCP in September.

A new pupil is joining them after the summer who is moving to the area, and will therefore require both emotional and academic support when settling into a new school environment. The new pupil will be in Year 4 and has funding for additional support however the pupil is working below their expected level and they need a strong LSA to support them on a 121 basis to ensure they have the best experience possible and integrate with the rest of the class.

The successful candidate should have:

- GCSE grade C or Level 2 equivalent in Maths and English.

- Recent experience supporting children with Autism, ideally in a school setting.

- A positive, bubbly personality with a real desire to improve the education of the child!

The position is initially through the agency but with a view to joining the school permanently after building a good bond with the pupil! All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
