Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant Required for role in Lawrence Weston – October Start

An excellent primary school within the Lawrence Weston area is currently looking for an Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to work support a pupil with Autism (low functioning). You will be working on a one to one basis with a child with the child both inside and outside of the classroom. If you have experience in either a 1:1 setting with any form of SEN, in particular ASC, EBD, MLD, SpLD, EAL, PMLD etc. then we would like to hear from you.

SEN Teaching Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Helping with schoolwork

- Preparing learning materials

- Encouraging children to communicate

- Looking after children’s physical needs

- Helping children when they’re upset and comforting them

The right candidate for this position will have experience working in an SEN setting and/or has previous experience of administering personal care for adults and/or children.
