SEN Teaching Assistant required for Secondary School in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, for September 2017

  • Working with SEN Students who have EHCP’s
  • Full time role starting September 2017
  • £9,800 to £14,378 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

A Secondary School in Huntingdon are looking for a Teaching Assistant with Special Educational Needs experience, to support SEN students, some of who have Education, Health and Care Plans. The role will be full time to start from September 2017.

The school is located in Huntingdon, 30 minutes from Cambridge and 30 minutes from Peterborough. A short walk from the local train station, the location is easy to commute to by public or private transport. Parking is available on site.

The school has around 1100 pupils on role and was graded as a ‘Good’ School by Ofsted in April 2016. They have a large site with modern facilities and strong ties to the community also. All the Teachers have a vision to reach ‘Outstanding’ status in their next Ofsted inspection, and they are looking for someone to join the team who can contribute to this vision.

You must have experience working with and supporting students who have Special Educational Needs and Education, Health and Care Plans, and be confident in supporting pupils that have one or more of the following:

- SEMH – Social, Emotional and Mental Health

- MLD – Moderate Learning Difficulties

- ASD – Autistic Spectrum Disorder

- HI/VI – Hearing Impairments / Visual Impairments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
