Behaviour Support Role - September - Barnoldswick

Are you seeking work in a challenging educational setting?

Do you have experience working with children?

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a High School in Barnoldswick who are seeking a full time member of staff to support a challenging pupil with behavioural support needs. The school is easily accessible off junction 14 of the M65 and the A682. This would initially be for the first term but could potentially be extended if the candidate is the right fit for the school.

The role will include supporting the pupil on a 1:1 basis and working alongside the class Teachers to ensure that the pupil is able to continue in mainstream in education. The candidate should be able to quickly build a rapport with the pupil and establish a good relationship to effectively support the pupil. The working hours for the role are between the hours of 8.30 and 3.30. 

Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours is essential. To be successful in this role you must be hard working, flexible and adaptable. The candidate must also be willing to initially work on a supply basis with a view to the position becoming permanent.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
