Farnham Royal Based school requires SEN Teaching Assistants

At Teaching Personnel, we are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants throughout March in Slough who has The school caters for primary and secondary school pupils with Autism and associated needs including physical disabilities, behavioral difficulties and medical conditions. The core aim of the school is to increase pupil’s independence, social competency and prepare them for adult life by learning essential life skills.

Ideal Candidate:

• Familiar using either PEC’S, Makaton or BSL (not essential)

• Trained in Team Teach (not essential)

• Confident working with children 1:1 or small groups

• Confident supporting another member of staff.

• Hands on and not afraid to get stuck in

The position is within this SEN school and would be challenging but highly rewarding. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with and Autism is highly desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

We require candidates to apply who are passionate in assisting children with Special Educational Needs to access the curriculum. The school is particularly keen to have candidates who are proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
