SEN Teacher, Durham

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an OFSTED Rated "Good" SEN School in Durham who are looking to recruit a Secondary Teacher with a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and able to teach a Primary adapted curriculum when required.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 6 months experience working within an SEN school teaching across the curriculum to KS3 and KS4 students with Autism, MLD and SLD. A good knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to differentiate is essential.

The provision, close to Durham City Centre, hosts nearly 200 pupils within the modern building, has excellent sporting facilities, is easily accessible from the A1 and is close by to regular transport links.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A UK recognised Teaching qualification

• Experience working with young people with SEN including ASC, MLD and SLD

• An excellent understanding of the National Curriculum

• Excellent behaviour management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
