SEN Teachers wanted in Hillingdon for Spring term SEN School role

  • Secondary SEN school in Hillingdon
  • Teaching up to 7 students with MLD and challenging behaviour
  • Immediate full-time start following successful trial

A special needs school based in Hillingdon are looking for experienced Special Need teachers to start full time for the Spring Term.

The school caters for secondary aged pupils diagnosed with autism across the spectrum and associated learning difficulties.

They are looking for enthusiastic Special Need Teachers with calm personalities who are able to teach up to 7 pupils diagnosed with Moderate Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviour. Mentoring is available from the school’s Assistant Head and there will be support with planning.

Do you have experience with any of the following?

Special Need Schools

Special Need Provisions

Experience teaching children with autism across the spectrum

QTS or Overseas Trained Teacher Status (UK NARIC)

P Scales and National Curriculum teaching

Mainstream Schools teaching SEN 1:1

Autism specific approaches PECS and TEACCH (visual picture aids)

Makaton

Moving and handling (Manual handling/hoisting)

Personal Care or nappy changing

Are you available for any of the following?

Full time work (Mondays to Fridays 8:30am-4:00pm)

What we will need:

Initial interview and registration at our London Bridge Office

Child workforce ONLY DBS registered on the update service

Minimum of 2 school based teaching reference contact details

Updated CV with a 6 year career history (2011-2017) which can include education history

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
